The placement experience report for experiential learning internships/ projects consists of a narrative on the placement experience and supporting placement materials along with a corresponding PPT (See Appendix for PPT guidelines). These electronic files should be uploaded in the GaVIEW assignment link when the placement experience report assignment is due.
The purpose of this final evaluation learning assessment is to examine students’ leadership/management skills developed/enhanced during the placement experience and their relationship to the MPA Program curriculum.
Name of student, concentration, anticipated graduation date, a brief discussion of your achievements during your MPA career, and a brief discussion of your career goals for your remaining years of workforce eligibility
Name and place of agency in which internship took place. Include the beginning and ending dates, director and/or supervisor.
Give a narrative description of your placement description.
Describe the agency where you completed the internship/project. What is its purpose, who does it serve, and who is it responsible for in terms of stakeholders?
DESCRIPTION AND EVALUATION OF THE PLACEMENT EXPERIENCE
Describe in full, narrative detail the major activities and tasks during your placement experience that allowed you to achieve the outcomes for this period.
Describe your overall evaluation of the placement experience. Discuss your expectations, uncertainties and readiness in relation to your internship experience. What do you feel were the most significant experiences of your placement? If any of the experiences were of a negative nature, what were your reactions to them? How did you resolve the issues? Were you able to obtain an overall, basic understanding of your role, in implementing the agency’s program?
Describe how your coursework training/theory related to your internship experience. Detail which aspects of the courses were most beneficial in completing the internship. Discuss any coursework training that was needed to improve the internship experience.
Describe your relationship with your director and/or supervisor and agency staff. Describe professional and personal growth that occurred through your relationship with your director and/or supervisor, agency staff, and the overall internship experience. Do you have any suggestions for improving future internships/projects at this agency?

Additional Guidelines for PowerPoint Presentation: 10-15 SLIDES OF CONTENT THAT CORRELATES WITH THE PAPER
PowerPoint (PPT) – The PPT is to contain slides corresponding to policy memo sections.
The PPT colors should reflect ASU colors – blue and gold. Use the ASU PPT Template found in the PADM 5851 GaVW Final Report module in the content menu Folder #3.
The PPT should contain a table of contents slide
The PPT should contain slide numbers
The PPT should contain bulleted information (Multiple sentences and paragraphs are not allowed).
The PPT should not contain lots of time-consuming and distracting slide transitions
The PPT should contain relevant images, tables, figures as applicable to the memo content.
The PPT should contain the references.
